BDF’s Accomplishments

Surbhi has volunteered her time six to twelve hours nearly every day for the past five years, exceeding 10,000 hours of selfless service. Her mentorship has empowered the poorest children to enter or return back to school. Because of Surbhi’s efforts over 100 drop-out students returned to public education, and more are on their way.

On a weekly basis Surbhi visits old age homes to provide emotional support and encouragement to more than 50 elders, offering them solace, alleviating loneliness and boosting morale, which greatly improves their quality of life.

Surbhi’s education for women helps them not to feel shame surrounding the social stigma of female menstrual cycles, which improves personal hygiene and boosts confidence for approximately 4,000 females.

Surbhi’s fundraising campaigns have raised close to $10,000 dollars for her charity.

Surbhi was awarded the Nari Samaan Award from ZYVS organization in Ambala Haryana, and a certificate from Pratyek Organisation in Delhi. To highlight BDF’s immense impact, her organization was featured in multiple prominent national newspapers, radio and TV stations over a dozen times!
