The van for Building Dreams Foundation will need to transport up to 100 children per day, both to class and from class.
The amount we need to raise includes the cost of a passenger van, insurance (one year), the bus driver’s salary (one year), fuel, and maintenance. The van also allows Building Dreams to deliver its Meals on Wheels India program that delivers food to the poor.
BDF’s current equipment is both old and too small and prone to costly breakdowns. A new van will meet current safety standards and requires lower maintenance costs. Additionally, a dedicated bus driver creates a new job for an Indian family in need.
Dehradun India covers more square miles than Brooklyn New York with 1,700,000 inhabitants. A new van will allow our driver to safely transport children to school. Due to distance transportation is vital to children’s education.
